Ricardo,
Thank you for your comment. My heart is always a little heavy if I feel like I am not the most optimistic to another artist, because I know what we have put into these songs. However, sometimes an outsiders opinion can help so much. You are obviously very talented. Please keep playing and writing. You will score well with the audiences and with you own writing enjoyment.thank you for reaching ou to me. Luck to you my friend

Hi there Steve, sounds like you are quite the guitarist. Cool! Thanks for liking my song "Apart From Me". It's from John 15 where Jesus said: Apart from Me, you can do nothing." Never heard of that festival. I write a lot of folk music, secular and Christian. I play the Florida Folk Festival and others in FL. Where is Winfield? In Kansas?

Hi Kate, with a voice like yours I thought you would be familiar with the folk venues. Yes the Winfield festival is well known in this region. Winning anything in these festivals will get you respect immediately from your musical peers. And it helps affirm your work. Sounds like youre familiar with that. I'm happy that I happened on to your work. I'm an instrumentalist who likes to write verses sometime. I recently wrote my best attempt at a folk song based on Corinthians 13: 1 -7. I remember someone said that in the verses "love believes all things, love endures all things" I rhymed the word "things" too much. I kind of knew they werent too Christian at that point if they didnt know that verse. That said, I hope you're ok with my comments about the uplifting part. I was trying to help the message in some way. Anyway, all the best to you!
